National Scuba Diving Industry Converges on Las Vegas

It’s the world’s largest gathering of the recreational SCUBA diving industry – the annual Diving Equipment and Marketing Association (DEMA) Show. This week, more than 10,000 scuba diving equipment manufacturers, resort owners, instructors, divemasters and retail store owners are anticipated for this annual event.

According to DEMA officials, the DEMA Show is an international showcase for members of the scuba diving trade. The annual event provides a place for new products to be announced, updated training programs, seminars and marketing concepts are all part of the four-day event. Products unveiled during the event will likely be on the shelves of local dive stores in early Spring.

Recreational Scuba Diving continues to be a popular activity among travelers, especially those booking warm water destinations. This year’s DEMA Show includes a number of programs targeting eMarketing, online travel bookings and new international destinations.
