Ballard Diving & Salvage responded with crews trained in salvage operations. Response included confined space teams and commercial dive teams as well as remote underwater vehicles with sonar to locate and evaluate all sources of oil on and within the vessel. The SS Davy Crockett is 442-ft in length and was constructed in 1942, currently located near Camas Washington on the Columbia River.
