Daily Mail -
These breathtaking pictures capture divers blowing beautiful bubbles - at a bizarre underwater competition.
They were taken at the first ever King Of The Bubble contest, which requires contestants to produce the largest, clearest, longest-lasting and most perfectly rounded rings. The divers showed off their skills in a specially built pool in Brussels, Belgium.Using techniques similar to blowing smoke rings, the experts send large rings of air floating up to the surface of the water, accompanied by ordinal spherical bubbles in various sizes. The pool, which at 100ft deep is the deepest in world, played host to nine adult finalists, whittled down from 35 original entrants. The overall winner was judged to be 31-year-old Francine Kreiss, from Hyeres in France, who was crowned Queen Of The Bubbles. The competition, which took around two hours, was the first of its kind and was attended by divers from all over Europe.Posted via http://batavia08.posterous.com batavia08's posterous
