PADI unveils Scuba Diving app for iPhone and Android users

The Examiner -

The recreational scuba diving industry has joined the craze to develop new applications for iPhone and Android phone users.

The Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI) has just unveiled a new app specifically designed for scuba divers or people wanting to learn about scuba diving.

The new PADI App for the Apple iPhone and Android smartphones helps users find their closest PADI Dive Center or Resort to fulfill all of their dive needs.

The free PADI App lets users search for PADI Dive Centers or Resorts worldwide by entering the city and state (if applicable) or postal code.

There’s also a convenient “current location” feature where users can quickly find the closest PADI facility.

Search results appear as pins on a map or a list of dive centers and resorts. When users click on one of the search results, the contact information and PADI membership level for the facility appears.

Enhanced listings also show additional details, including business hours, courses offered, available equipment lines and more.
