The Indonesian Navy says 60 of its warships will take part in a military drill off Sekerat beach in East Kutai regency, East Kalimantan, on Nov. 10.
The warships include submarines, frigates and minesweepers, the commander of the Navy base in Sangata, East Kutai, Lt. Col. Yudhi Bramantyo, said on Thursday in Sangata.
“The warships are those of the East Fleet Command, West Fleet Command and the Inter-Sea Command,” Yudhi said, as quoted by Antara.
He said apart from the vessels, the Navy would also dispatch Cassa and Nomad aircraft, Bell and Bolkow helicopters, as well as land-based military equipment, including amphibious tanks, rockets and howitzers in the military drill.
