12 bodies found in ship accident

Searh and rescue team found 12 bodies of motorship Karya Terang accident victims on Maurole Beach in Ende, East Nusa Tenggara. Twelve other victims were still missing after the accident on Friday.

Sikka regent Sosimus Mitang told Antara news agency Monday that the bodies had been taken to Tc Hillers State Hospital in Maumere, Sikka.

Of the 12 bodies, only five were able to be identified.

The ship was traveling from Palue Island for Maumere, carrying 54 passengers, when it drowned on Friday. Thirty people made it to safety.
