Bandar Seri Begawan - In an effort to raise awareness to protect marine wildlife along the coast of Borneo, especially in Brunei, Rainforest Gallery, Quilap, opened a Marine Awareness Exhibition at its premises last night.
The exhibition is showcasing the work of Nick Coburn Phillips, a marine scientist and underwater photo artist. Over 200 photographs, 80 per cent of which were taken in Brunei waters, are on display."I have complied a portfolio of some 200 or more photographs and aspire to enlighten the audience on the Rainforest Gallery with a small collection of some of my best artworks in order to raise awareness of the need to protect and conserve the seas off the Brunei coast," he said.The exhibition runs from February 18 until March 3 and is open daily from 10am to 6pm.
